  In the Spring of 2017 we asked Marnus (one of the owners of Charnwood Kitchens & Interiors) to install two kitchens for us (a main kitchen and a smaller kitchen in our utility room). We considered a number of design options with him and this led to two kitchens that met our requirements and allowed us to stick to our budget. The actual installation only took 2 days but because of the templating required for the worktops the installation process took 2-3 weeks. We love the minimalist style and design of the kitchens and the workmanship is of a very high standard. Having used the kitchens now for over 2 months the upfront time spent on considering the design with Marnus has paid dividends as the use of the kitchen is exactly as we hoped it would be. A good yardstick is that our architect (who has witnessed countless kitchen installations) was very impressed with the look and quality of the kitchens. There are a few things that Charnwood recommended that I would also definitely recommend: 1) An electric bin – Very hygienic and surprisingly useful 2) Combi hot water tap – Fantastic if your hot water tank is more than a few metres from your kitchen sink 3) LED plinth lighting – this gives excellent peripheral lighting above and below the kitchen units 4) Surface mounted extractor fans – Whilst not cheap these are brilliant as they work really well and no ugly overhead extractor in the ceiling Where Charnwood really come into their own is that they will tailor the kitchen to meet your specific needs and their considerable experience means that you will get excellent advice on the design of the kitchen, the choice of materials/finishes and the right appliances to go for. There are so many decisions to make and having someone with considerable knowledge to help steer you is absolutely vital. The kitchen must work for you specifically. I wholeheartedly recommend using Charnwood K&I as they know their business and their product absolutely speaks for itself.
